Lush First Snow Dusting Powder

First Snow is one of those many Lush items that only come out at Christmas time. If I remember it came out the Christmas before last but hadn't really tried it until now. It's basically a sparkling citrus dusting powder and contains essential oils such as sweet orange, cognac and lime.

So what is a dusting powder? It's very similar to talc and nourishes, softens and perfumes the skin. Lush do a few different ones in their permanent collection, but for Christmas they do First Snow too. It comes in a small bottle and the way I use it is to get a small amount and rub it on my arms. Apart from the wonderful citrus scent, it also gives your skin a nice shimmer too which I think is awesome. I have heard that the scent is very similar to Lush's Golden Wonder bath bomb and Celebrate body lotion.

Once applied the scent does manage to stay around for quite some time as well as the shimmer too. I didn't really need to reapply it throughout the day get the shimmer to stay, it just sort of stayed on my skin until I washed it off. I did like the nice soft and smooth feel it gave my skin.

I did prefer to apply this after a body lotion as I did find it applied better after it. There is also another great way I've heard you can use this product. You can actually sprinkle it on your bed sheets to give a nice fragrant slumber. I've never put it on my bed, but i'm thinking of as it sounds awesome.

Unfortunately First Snow is now unavailable until Christmas.

  4. I do love lush products but I can't get on with the glittery/shimmery ones as I find no matter how many times you scrub yourself, you can get it off lol x
