Too Faced Glitter Bomb Palette

Whenever I see a new palette, especially from a brand that I love, I get super excited. When I was at Too Faced the other week I noticed that they had a new palette out called Glitter Bomb. The really sparkly colors in it stood out to me and I knew that I had to get this palette.

So what is it, you are probably wondering. It's basically a glittery eyeshadow palette with 8 sparkly shades. It also comes with matte white and blacks to use as base colors. The colors can be worn on their own but I think they work best with a base on.

As this is a glitter palette I do think it is best to wear an eyeshadow primer to stop the glitter from falling down and to make sure your eyeshadow stays on all day. I preferred to use the matte black as a base. The black had a really good amount of pigment and worked as a really good base for the glitter.

There are so many good colors of glitter to choose from and once the base color was on I just layered the glitter colors on top and made them look very intense. The glitter went on more like an eyeshadow rather than a glitter. What has put me off glitter before, is how loose and easy it is to drop down. With the glitter in this palette, once it is on it doesn't transfer or drop down and stayed on all day without creasing or fading.

Also available and sold separately to this palette is the Glitter Glue Shadow Primer which is designed to keep the glitter on all day. It did have a bit of a sticky feel to it, but not very tacky as you would think a glue would be. The sticky feel isn't really a problem, but as I used the Urban Decay Shadow Primer as a base underneath all of the other colors, I found that the Glitter Glue was unnecessary as my Urban Decay primer kept the glitter in place. The Glitter Glue would be good if you didn't have a good eyeshadow base already.

The colors in this palette look amazing and look even better on.

Too Faced Love Light Highlighter

Apart from liquid lipsticks, highlighters are my must have products right now. The other day I got one of the Love Light Highlighters from Too Faced. It comes in this really amazing heart shaped silver compact and is available in three different shades. The color I got was called Blinded By The Light which is a warm beige with a pearl finish.

Too Faced describe this one as a prismatic highlighter which combines the best of liquid, powder, baked and cream powder formulas for unparalleled radiance.

This one gives the most amazing glow. When it comes to highlighters I like these sorts of shades as they look fantastic on. I didn't have to keep layering it on as the color had a good amount of pigment which meant I didn't have to use much. It stayed on all day too without fading.

I want to try the other colors that are available too as they look amazing on.

Too Faced Papa Don't Peach Blusher

I love Too Faced because they bring out some really unique products including scented products. I haven't seen a brand that has such a fantastic range of scented products before. First was their Chocolate Bar palettes and now the Sweet Peach collection which has eyeshadows and blushers with the most amazing scent of peach.

The Papa Don't Peach blusher is a peach infused blush from the Sweet Peach collection. The packaging looks awesome and the blusher has the peach design stamped into it. It doesn't fade with use either unlike some products that have designs stamped into them.

The pigment is fantastic too and it has a nice smooth texture to it which means it glides on nicely. I didn't have to use a lot to get the color to show up and it gave my cheeks a really nice glow. Once on it didn't fade or need reapplying either.

I just love the products from this collection. I have the peach eyeshadow palette too which I highly recommend and I want to get the Sweet Peach Glow palette.

Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick - Queen B

Right now I'm loving liquid lipsticks and one I have tried before and thought was great was the Too Faced Melted Mattes. They come in a range of colors from naturals to dark purple. The color I got is called Queen B and is a soft mauve color.

These may be a matte but they are not at all drying and are very comfortable to wear. The color glided onto my lips nice and smooth too. One of the many great things about these lipsticks is that they do manage to stay on for most of the day without having to be reapplied. The packaging is awesome and comes with a doe foot applicator for easy application.

The color looks awesome on and my favorite way to wear it is with a dramatic eye look.

Have you tried the Melted Matte lipsticks before?

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick - Wonderchilde

Kat Von D make some amazing products, especially their lip colors. Their Studded Kiss Lipsticks are amazing and come in a full range of colors from nudes to more daring colors like dark purples. Purple is such a great color on the lips and the color I went for was called Wonderchilde which is a iridescent neon lilac color.

The color looked amazing on and it glided onto my lips nicely and didn't dry them out. These lipsticks are well pigmented and don't need a lot of applying to get the color looking intense. It also stayed on most of the day too without needing reapplying. There were two ways I wore this - on it's own and with the Alchemist Holographic Palette.

The Alchemist Holographic Palette also by Kat Von D can be used as a highlighter palette or the colors can be layered on top of other products to change the color. I put one of the colors from the palette on top of this lipstick to change the color, which looked amazing.

Both on it's own and with a color on top the lipstick looked amazing. I just love the colors that Kat Von D bring out.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick - Ayesha

I'm a big fan of liquid lipsticks and one brand I am loving right now is Kat Von D. Their liquid lipsticks are called Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and they come in a full range of colors from nudes to really daring colors like blue and grey. I love my purples so I decided to get one in the color Ayesha which is a lavender colored lipstick.

The color looks amazing on and glides on smoothly to my lips. The pigment is fantastic too and I don't have to keep layering it on either to get the color looking intense. I really don't like liquid lipsticks that dry out my lips and this one doesn't do that at all. When they say everlasting they really mean it as this one stays on for pretty much all day.

New Highlighters From Makeup Revolution

One budget brand I love to use is Makeup Revolution and they have recently brought out some new highlighters. Highlighters are my must have product at the moment and I love to try new ones. New to Makeup Revolution are Skin Kiss, Rainbow and Gradient Highlighters.

Rainbow and Gradient Highlighter

The Gradient Highlighter comes in a few different shades. The one I went for was in the color Rose Quartz. It looks more like a blusher and is designed to be both a blusher and a highlighter. The color looks great and gives my cheeks a really nice glow. I used this one as more of a blusher rather than a highlighter. The different shades can be used individually or swirled around to create one unique color.

The Rainbow Highlighter is this super colorful product that is designed to actually look like a rainbow. I'm quite a fan of Rainbow highlighters and I have the Unicorn Highlighter from Makeup Revolution's sister brand I Heart Makeup. With this one I swirled my brush around in the color to create a unique glow, although the colors can be used individually too.

The Rainbow Highlighter and the Gradient Highlighter were £4.00 each.

Ice Kiss, Golden Kiss, Peach Kiss

The Skin Kiss Highlighters come in three different shades Ice Kiss, Golden Kiss and Peach Kiss. They are a really good size product too and have a good amount of pigment in them. They seem to build up nicely too and give the skin this amazing glow. These were £5.00 each.

Makeup Revolution make some great products and they are always bringing out new ones. For the price these ones are quite good too.

Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette

If there is one multi use product that I am loving right now, it has to be the Alchemist Holographic Palette by Kat Von D. I first noticed this palette at a Kat Von D bloggers event that I went to recently. I have been told that it is very limited edition and not many places have many left. The counter in Cardiff was one of the few that had them, so I grabbed one.

So what is it? It's basically a highlighter palette but can also be used as a color change product too. For £25 it is amazing. The palette has 4 amazing holographic shades that can be worn on their own or layered.

Although it is a highlighter palette, the colors can also be used as a color changers. If you put them on top of lipstick or eyeshadow the color changes to something really amazing. One of my favorite ways to use this palette is to put the colors on top of a color I wear on my lips.

The pigment was amazing too and the colors don't need much building up to get them to stand out.

On top of lipstick

The possibilities with this palette are endless. There is no set way to use the colors. Most places have now sold out of this palette but I think they still have some left online.

Kat Von D Blogger Event

Last month Kat Von D opened a new counter in Debenhams, Cardiff. After trying Kat Von D's products last year I was really looking forward to seeing the new counter that would be opening. Not long after they opened, a bloggers event was held at the counter.

A good number of bloggers attended the event and when we were all seated, staff at the counter gave us saint or sinner wrist bands. I personally went for sinner, I think more people chose sinner over saint. In front everyone was this really impressive looking gold throne which the model for the event would be sat.

The staff were really friendly and informative. They told us all about the products that would be used on the model. I thought it was great that they passed the products around for us to try as the look was being created.

What was great was that the look on the model was really creative and colorful. The staff created this lovely high fashion look in the most amazing colors. It makes a change from just a daytime or smoky eye look.

One product which I thought looked really awesome was the Alchemist Holographic Palette. It's a multi use palette than can be used as a highlighter as well as a color change product. The colors can then be applied on top of eyeshadow and lipstick to create some really awesome color change effects.

The palette was very limited edition and the counter in Cardiff was one of the very few locations to still have some left in stock. It was only £25 too which was great as I thought it would be more expensive. As it looked awesome I decided to grab one.

I really enjoyed the bloggers event and loved the look that was created on the model. The new counter is a great size and has many amazing products.
