I love lip crayons, so when I was browsing the Rodial stand at IMATS in London, these awesome looking lip crayons caught my eye. I've never tried Rodial before so I was really interested to see what their products would be like.
The lip crayons come in a range of different colors and are called Suede Lips. Described as an intense matte lip color with vitamin E, the color I really liked was called Rodeo Drive and is an orange red color.
It glided on nicely to my lips and the color payoff was amazing. The pigment was intense and I didn't have to keep building the color up to get it to show. It felt really creamy to apply and didn't dry my lips out.
The color looked amazing on and stayed on for most of the day too, without the need to keep reapplying. I'm really glad I tried this one as I want to try more products from Rodial.

NYX Cosmic Metals - Solar Energy
NYX seem to make some really awesome lip products and I'm really loving their Cosmic Metals. These come in a range of amazing colors and have this fantastic metallic look about them. I have a few of these already and the other day I got one in Solar Energy, which is a shade of orange coral with silver.
The doe foot applicator allows for easy application out of the packaging. They look like a lipgloss but are actually a lip creme. I really don't like gloss as it feels sticky and in the winter it's just not good. Windy weather and lip gloss are not a good combo, that is unless you like getting your lipgloss in your hair. These ones have a great amount of pigment in them and don't take long to build up. The color looks awesome on and doesn't need much reapplying either. I love the creamy non sticky feel these ones have too.
This makes a great color for the summer. Have you tried any lip products from NYX?

Lush Sugar Plum Fairy
Many of you who are familiar with Lush probably have seen the really amazing Christmas collection they have released. For the Lush addict like me the Christmas collection really is Heaven. Two of the products I really liked from the collection were a lip scrub and lip tint. Both are called Sugar Plum Fairy and are both purple colored.
Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Scrub £5.75
Lush do many different lip scrubs and one of the ones they have released this year for Christmas is called Sugar Plum Fairy. The purple color of the scrub really caught my eye and what made me want it even more is the the fact that it has the most amazing scent of The Comforter. Those familiar with Lush will know that The Comforter Bubble Bar has this awesome blackcurrant scent to it.
The scrub is great for people who have dry lips. You only need to use a small amount of this and then rub it into your lips to exfoliate the dead skin. After scrubbing, it really does leave your lips nice and soft, ready for a lip balm.
Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Tint £5.95
This one doubles up as a makeup and lip care product in one. It comes in packaging very similar to lip balm and to get to color up your just twist the bottom. It also has the same scent as the Lip Scrub and for people who have dry lips this one is perfect. It gives your lips this really awesome berry color and at the same time moisturizes your lips. There is plenty of pigment in it too and it really does build up nicely. It's also great to wear on days when you don't feel like wearing a lot of makeup.

NYX Cosmic Metals
A few weeks ago when I was shopping at the NYX counter I noticed that they had a load of new products in. Some of these were brand new colors in the Liquid Suedes (been waiting for these to arrive for some time), but I also noticed a brand new product called Cosmic Metals.
These are like a lipstick and come in tube packaging. Described as a lip cream, they have a metallic finish to them but look like a gloss. I don't normally like lip gloss as it does go quite sticky and isn't good for the weather we have here in the UK (getting your hair stuck to your lips is not good). Fortunately the Cosmic Metals are not a gloss, but just look like.
They come in all different colors and are a must for people who love their color. If you like natural lips don't go for Cosmic Metals as there aren't many natural looking colors. The most natural color they do is a bright pink. The rest are blues and greens.
The colors I got were Fuchsia Fusion (bright pink), Comets Tail (blue), Celestial Star (dark blue) and Out Of This World (green).
Each color has quite a good amount of pigment and they come with a doe foot applicator to allow for easy application. Because they are so pigmented, you don't need to use a lot to get full color on the lips and in two coats the color was looking very intense. They also glide on nicely too and don't dry the lips out either.
As they are a lip cream and not a gloss, they don't have the stickiness that gloss has, but still has the appearance of a gloss. There also seems to be a bit of glitter in them too which gives that really awesome shine to them. Once on they don't really need reapplying all day as they do stay on for most of the day.

Lipstick Queen Cupid's Bow - Eros
I just love lip crayons. They are easy to use, come in a range of colors and make a great alternative to a regular lipstick. Last year I tried Lipstick Queen's Cupid's Bow, which are basically Lipstick Queen's version of a lip crayon. The other week in Selfridges I decided to get another one of them as I thought they were amazing. This one is called Eros and is a shade of hotter than hot pink.
I just love lip crayons as they are so easy to use. This one is great because the pigment is amazing and you don't need to use a lot to get plenty of color on your lips. The texture is nice and creamy too and glides on smoothly.
If you love bright pinks, this color is a must. Once on it didn't really need reapplying either. I just love the color, it's a fab one for people who love bright colors.

Weekend Goodies - Duck and Chocolate Lip Balms and More
Last weekend I went shopping in Totnes and found the cutest ever items for sale. Duck lip balms and this chocolate soap and lip balm set. I found them in this shop that sold beauty and skin care products. They had all sorts of really cool things, including these duck lip balms.
The ducks come come in all sorts of flavours and colours and make your lips feel nice and soft.
Ain't they the cutest things ever. The duck with the stars is cherry flavoured while the glittery one is strawberry flavoured.
To get the lip balm out you turn the duck upside down and open the bottom to get the product. It doesn't feel too sticky and you don't need to use a lot to make your lips feel nice and soft. I don't have a favourite out of the two as they both are amazing and smell awesome. As these ducks are so good, next time I go to Totnes I might just buy some more. They weren't expensive either and cost around £3 - £4.
From the same shop I also picked up this chocolate lip balm and soap gift set. This cost around £10.00 and I got a good sized bit of chocolate scented soap and these super cool chocolate lip balms.
The soap is called Chocolate Heaven and it actually looks like a bit of chocolate. The smell of it is so good, just like you have a bit of chocolate in front of you.
My favourite part of the gift set has to be the chocolate lip balms. They come in packaging that looks like a box of chocolates. In fact the lip balms do look like chocolates. If I didn't know any better I would think they were.
You get four lip balms that just look good enough to eat. They all come with very suitable names - Mocha Choca, Rose Swirl, Vanilla Fancy and Praline Princess. To get the lip gloss out you just open the bottom and stick your finger in.
Not only do they look good enough to eat, they smell good enough to eat. When I was applying the balm to my lips I could have sworn I was applying chocolate, the smell is absolutely amazing.
Overall I picked up some amazing goodies last weekend and have enjoyed using them.
Which ones are your favourite.
