Miss Patisserie Box Of Bath Balls

In the Miss Patisserie blogger event on Saturday I decided to grab a box of bath balls. I love bath balls as they make some really awesome color effects in the bath. I've used quite a few of the ones from Miss Patisserie before and I noticed some brand new ones too. You an buy them individually or you can have a box of four. The ones I decided to get were Unicorn Hoof, Kyoto, Limelight and Pink Pepper.

Unicorn Hoof
Colored with blue, pink and yellow, you can tell that this one is bound to give a really colorful bath just by looking at it. It's not your standard bath ball shape either and does seem to look a bit smaller at first. Looks can be deceiving though as once dropped into the water it does give an amazing show of color. The colors appear right away and while the blue stays constantly in the middle, yellow and pink swirl out around the water. The more it fizzes the more effects there are. In the pink and blue a marble sort of pattern appears. Towards the end the bath ball splits in two with pink and yellow doing their own thing. The scent of this one is sweet blossom and peach.

Kyoto
This is another colorful one and unlike Unicorn Hoof this one works very fast. As soon as it is dropped in the bath, lilac and purple fizz and bubble, creating their own patterns. Halfway through, some blue starts to appear to create a really unique effect. Words cannot describe how amazing this one is. It has a floral scent to it too with peach blossom, orchid and honeysuckle.

Limelight
Although not as colorful as Unicorn Hoof and Kyoto, this one still manages to deliver some color. Once dropped in the water, it starts to foam green before some pink gradually appears. Scented with lime and tiare flower, this is one of those medium speed bath balls, it's not fast like Kyoto but not very slow either. Halfway through, the green and pink foam begins to swirl and create its own pattern. Before it finishes fizzing the ball separates in two - pink/green and pink/yellow.

Pink Pepper
This is the least colorful out of the four and doesn't really have any amazing color effects. Once dropped into the water it immediately turns your water a bright pink color. As color goes, that is all this one really does. I would say this one is more of a scent experience rather than color. As soon as it is dropped the room is filled with this most amazing scent of pepper, vanilla and musk. It's a great scent at the end of the day as it is nice and warming. Pink Pepper also comes with this flower that floats around the water once it starts fizzing.

This is another great selection of bath balls and I enjoyed using them all. My favorite out of them all had to be Kyoto as the colors looked amazing.

Miss Patisserie 2016 Bloggers Event Cardiff

Yesterday I went to a bloggers event at Miss Patisserie in Cardiff. Miss Patisserie is a bath/skincare brand that offers many different products like face masks, bath bombs, scrubs and more. I went to their last bloggers event last year and was really looking forward to this one, especially after trying their products and seeing they had new ones out.

The store is located in Cardiff's High Street Arcade and has a really nice relaxing feel about it. They also have a fantastic display in the window of what appears at first to be cupcakes. Unfortunately you can't eat them as they are for the bath. They do look good enough to eat.

The event was pretty laid back and relaxed. Since I last shopped here I did notice that there were many new products available, especially in the bath bomb range. I really like the ones that Miss Patisserie make, the scents are awesome and they leave your bath water pretty colors.

I just love product demos and I was particularly interested in a product called Bath Crumble. I have seen it before in the store and online, but had never really tried it out before. As a person who loves bath bombs, Bath Crumble was right up my street. It's basically crushed up bath bomb. You just drop it into the water and wait for the colors to appear.

There was also a new product called Bath Shard. They came in all different colors and they reminded me a lot of chocolate and they were very tempting to eat.

Another bonus was on the day was 10% off all purchases. If you spent £50 you got 20% off. There were quite a few things I wanted to get. I quite liked the Bath Shard and Bath Crumble so I got those along with a box of 4 Bath Bombs and a Shower Steamer.

I thought the event was great and I enjoyed trying out new products. The last event they did was fantastic too. Thanks Miss Patisserie.

Miss Patisserie Easter Egg Bath Bombs

Easter has now gone and although most of us may have eaten all our wonderful chocolate eggs, Miss Patisserie was one beauty/skincare brand that offered non chocolate Easter Eggs. Along with Lush, Miss P brought out a range of egg bath bombs. For those not wanting chocolate, these non chocolate eggs are great.

The eggs came in two different versions - a pale pink one and a darker pink. Compared to other Miss P bath bombs these ones definitely look a bit smaller, but are really unique as they look just like easter eggs. You use them in exactly the same way as their regular ones, just drop into a nice warm bath.

Both eggs look amazing, and you can tell just by looking at them that they will probably make a very colorful bath.

Out of the two I don't really have a favorite as both bath bombs gave amazing color. Once dropped into the bath they started to fizz quite fast before all different shades of pink started to swirl around. The darker egg did bring out some really bright shades in the bath and looked amazing. Some of Miss P's bath bombs can take a while to completely fizz. These ones are some of their faster working ones and take around a minute to completely fizz.

Miss Patisserie Daisy Chain Body Scrub

Anyone who gets dry skin really understands the benefits of using a good scrub to get the skin feeling really nice and soft. Many brands offer different scrubs and last year Miss Patisserie opened a store in Cardiff.

They offer sugar scrubs and coffee scrubs. I've never really tried a coffee scrub, although I really would like to try them. When I was shopping in store I decided to check out their range of sugar scrubs. They do them in a range of different scents and in the store they actually have a sink where you can put your hands under and try the products on your skin. This is great as trying before you buy is really important. More and more skincare brands are putting sinks or access to water in their shops including Lush, Basin, Body Shop and this brand too.

After trying a few of the scents, the one I liked best was Daisy Chain. It comes in a nice see through tub with a lid you can actually flip open. To use just flip the sides up and there you have your product. I once bought a scrub from Basin that had exactly the same packaging. When Body Shop had their Africa Spa Body Butter the packaging was the same too. Sadly that product is now long gone. I really like the design as it is really easy to use and looks great too.

I did notice that the scrubs do share their names with some of the bath bombs that are in store too. They also offer body butters in the same scent to go with the scrub if you want one to go with it.

Daisy Chain is a nice purple color (don't worry the scrub won't stain your hands). The scent is really nice and floral, perfect for Spring and Summer. I found you don't have to use a lot as a small amount goes quite a long way. The scrub isn't too rough on the skin unlike some scrubs I have tried. After using it, it really does leave your skin feeling nice and soft. This is probably because of the vitamin e, sweet almond and jojoba oil that comes in it.

These scrubs really do have a bonus too. Moisturising after isn't needed. This must be the only scrub I have used where it isn't necessary to use a moisturizer after. It sort of gives your skin all the moisture it needs even after rinsing with water.

Rainbow River by Miss Patisserie

If you read my blog a lot you will know that I'm a big fan of bath bombs. Lush are one of my favorites for bath bombs and I really like using other brands too. Another brand I know that does a good range is Miss Patisserie. You use them just like any other bath bomb and they do have differences to the Lush ones - color, scent etc.

Miss Patisserie have released some new ones to their collection and one I really liked the look of was Rainbow River. For someone who loves a colorful bath this looked just up my street. It's a blue color with pink and yellow mixed in too. It sort of reminds me of Lush's Intergalactic bath bomb.

I absolutely love this bath bomb, once dropped into the water it creates something truly beautiful. It could be described as bath art (is there such a thing?). Described by Miss Patisserie as 'taking you back to the 70s with a psychedelic bath filled with peace and serenity,' this one is scented with lavender to calm along with a bit of shimmer.

Some of Miss Patisserie's bath bombs do take quite some time to fizz. This one on the other hand works quite fast and once dissolved turns your water a nice blue color.

My favorite part is of course the moment it gets dropped into the water. It fizzes quite fast and makes loads of really nice colorful patterns in the bath. You never know which pattern will appear next and there is no end to the amazing colors.

I do find that the lavender is extremely calming, especially if you are having a bath late at night and want something to get you ready for sleep. It's great also if you have had a really long day and just want to unwind.

I really do hope this bath bomb is a permanent one at Miss Patisserie and I can definitely see myself getting another one of these.

Happy Easter

Today it's Easter and I just wanna wish everyone a Happy Easter. Many people, myself included have had a really nice selection of chocolate eggs today, although these last few weeks I've seen some great alternatives to chocolate.

Don't get me wrong chocolate is amazing, and I haven't met one person yet who doesn't enjoy it. Sometimes it's great to see Easter Eggs done in different formats apart from chocolate. Two brands I really like - Lush and Miss Patisserie have seemed to have gotten the non chocolate egg just right.

The Lush Easter range

I really love the products that Lush have brought out for Easter. Every year they always bring out amazing products. Some have reappeared from last year, while there are some new products too.

The other brand I love is Miss Patisserie. The products are similar to Lush, but still have their differences. I find their bath bombs take a lot longer to work, but I still enjoy using their stuff. The other day I popped into their store in Cardiff and had a look at all of the Easter products. What really got my attention was this giant Easter Egg bath bomb that was in the window.

Unfortunately it's not for sale and I was told that they are planning to auction it off after Easter. This thing is just amazing and even if it was for sale and I bought it, I don't think I would ever use it as it looks too good to use. I think I would just keep it as a decoration.

Fortunately they did have smaller Easter Eggs available in two different colors. I just couldn't resist getting some.

So what goodies did the Easter Bunny bring everyone.

Here is a photo of me with Rabbit from Winnie The Pooh at Disney. I know he's not the Easter Bunny, but he's still a bunny and I thought this photo would be great for this time of year.

Miss Patisserie Twinkle Twinkle Bath Fizz

For Christmas I got quite a few things from Miss Patisserie, one of them being Twinkle Twinkle Bath Fizz. It's basically a mini bath bomb shaped like a star and is this awesome blue color. There is some sparkle on it too which is no surprise as it is Twinkle Twinkle after all.

Scented with Middle Eastern Oud and Musk, as soon as it gets dropped into the water it gives this really awesome show of color. It fizzes quite fast too which is unusual for bath bombs from this brand, they normally take a long time to fully fizz. All different shades of blue start to appear before they start trailing off and creating their own pattern. On the water you can see some shimmer appearing too which adds to the starry effect.

Once dissolved the water goes a dark blue color which reminds me of the night sky. It's a shame this one is a Christmas item as it's one of my favorites from Miss Patisserie.

Miss Patisserie Bath Balls

The other week I went to a blogger event at Miss Patisserie in Cardiff. There were loads of amazing products to browse and I really liked the choice of bath bombs that were available. Miss Patisserie calls there ones - bath balls. I decided to get myself a box of 4. You basically pick up an empty gift box and fill it with any 4 of your choice. If you don't want four, you can also buy them individually too. I really like the gift boxes, they have this really arty design on them that looks really fancy. The bath balls are £3.49 each or you can have a gift box for £12.

The four ones I got were Clearing Aroma Fizz, Coral Bay, Calming Aroma Fizz and Daisy Chain.

Clearing Aroma Fizz, Coral Bay, Calming Aroma Fizz, Daisy Chain

The one thing I did notice about these bath balls is how long they last. They fizz for a good couple of minutes and are really long lasting. Other bath bombs from other brands fizz really fast, and these ones are about the same size as ones from other brands.

Clearing Aroma Fizz
Clearing and Stimulating, Peppermint and Spearmint will help with stress relief, nausea and headaches. These oils also contain menthol, which is good for the skin because it creates a cooling sensation. Furthermore, it nourishes dull skin tone and improves the texture of oily or greasy skin.
This Bath Ball also contains Epsom Salt which is fantastic for detoxifying the body and achy muscles. In addition to all of these health benefits this Bath Ball will turn your water into a calming aqua blue colour.
This one as soon as you drop it into the bath fills the room with a really fresh and minty scent. Which is probably because of the peppermint and spearmint. I really like it as it's nice and clearing, it really does live up to it's name. It also appealed to me as I get migraines and headaches a lot. I'm always looking for good remedies for them apart from the regular painkillers. I didn't have a headache when I used this bath ball so I can't comment on how good it worked for them, but i'm sure it would do a good job of helping them feeling better because of the clearing scent of this one.  The water went a nice blue color too which looked awesome. Out of the 4, this one was the fastest working bath ball as it had fizzed out in under a minute.

Coral Bay
You know that feeling when you walk on the beach and you can smell that fresh salty scent... well Coral Bay Bath Ball smells just like that. It also has notes of water lily and freesia as well as invigorating citrus notes.
This product is so pretty, your bath will be filled with creamy lather in turquoise and coral pink colours that will leave your skin smelling fresh and invigorated.
This one reminded me of nice summer days down at the beach. As soon as I stepped into the bath I was taken away from the winter and right in the middle of summer. The citrus scent definitely added to the summer feel along with the water lily and freesia. This one took a couple of minutes to completely fizz and the water was changed to a nice pink and turquoise.

Calming Aroma Fizz
Containing the Calming King of all Essential Oils, Lavender, this Bath Ball will help reduce anxiety, induces sleep and strengthens the immune system. This product also contains Sea Salt which is an ingredient that provides essential minerals to the body to maintain good health.

This was my favorite out of all the bath balls. It had a very relaxing feel to it too, which is probably why it is called Calming. Like Coral Bay, this one took a couple of minutes to completely fizz and turned the water a nice purple color.

Daisy Chain
Very purple in color and comes complete with a daisy too. Once in the water, it gives off this really nice floral scent which makes you think you are in a field of daisies. The daisy doesn't dissolve with the rest of the product as it is made out of some sort of material. The water goes a nice lilac purple too and makes you think you are in the middle of Spring.

I definitely think these bath balls are some of the best I have tried. Unlike some others, these make a nice creamy feel to the water which I like. Miss Patisserie have done a great job with these ones.
