Illamasqua Lipsticks - Kitsch And ESP

I've been a fan of Illamasqua for quite some time and I've always liked their lipsticks. I was in TK Maxx the other week and noticed that they were selling some lipsticks by Illamasqua. It was a bit like a jumble sale trying to go through everything, but I did see two colors that I really liked - Kitsch and ESP.

Kitsch is from Illamasqua's Glamore collection and is rose pink satin. ESP is described as a vivid violet. I love these sorts of colors for the lips so I was really excited to try them out.

Kitsch had a nice creamy texture with plenty of pigment, meaning I didn't have to keep layering the color on to get it looking intense. It also stayed on for most of the day too.

Even though ESP is an awesome color, I wasn't really fussed on it as it did come off a bit too quick and needed reapplying a lot. It also seemed a bit on the sheer side too.

Out of the two Kitsch was definitely my favorite.

Have you picked up any makeup bargains at TK Maxx.

Illamasqua Anti Matter Lipsticks

The other week in London I went to the Illamasqua store in Beak Street and also their counter in Debenhams, Oxford Street. Lately Illamasqua have released a brand new range of lipsticks called Anti Matter. I tried one of them a while back and was very impressed with it. So I decided to get another two. The colors I got were Nebula (Hot Fuchsia) and Energy (Vibrant Violet). The color choice is fantastic and they all have this awesome semi matte finish.

Both colors look fab and have an amazing amount of pigment in them. It didn't take me long to get the color looking intense and they glided on my lips really nice and smooth. They don't feel drying either which is great. I've heard quite a few people saying they don't like Illamasqua's regular lipsticks as they feel a bit dry. These ones have a fantastic texture and don't feel dry at all. Not only do they look great on but they stay on for most of the day too. I just love the color selection of these lipsticks, out of the two I bought I didn't really have a favorite as they both looked great.

Illamasqua Anti Matter Lipstick - Vibrate

The other day I noticed these brand new lipsticks that Illamasqua have released. They are called Anti Matter and come in a range of different colors. Described as halfway between matte and satin, they glide onto the lips smoothly and provide comfortable, continuous wear. Long lasting, color intense with a semi matte cushioned finish.

The color I got is called Vibrate and is an electric lavender color.

I love purples and this one looked amazing. The pigment is really intense and the description Illamasqua give this one is very accurate. It really does glide on and feel really smooth. It's also long lasting too and stays on all day. Even though it is a semi matte it didn't dry my lips out at all and felt comfortable all day.

I wore this one in two different ways. I applied it as a color on it's own which looked great. What looked even better was when I added extra color effects to it.  I have an Illamasqua eyeshadow called Cascade, which is blue/white frost color. If you put it on top of different eyeshadows it changes the look of them. I put it on top of this lipstick and it made the purple really stand out. It looked amazing and changed the color too.

Even though Cascade is a powder, wearing it on my lips didn't feel at all drying. The Anti Matter lipsticks are amazing and I do recommend getting them.

Illamasqua Fundamental Palette

I love Illamasqua, especially their eyeshadow palettes. The one I had seen for quite a while but hadn't actually bought it was the Fundamental Palette. This came out a couple of years ago for the Human Fundamentalism collection. It's now discontinued, which is a shame as the colors look fab. Debenhams in Cardiff had some of these left, so I got one there.

The palette has 4 colors to choose from in different textures. There are two powder eyeshadows in Hype (bold yellow) and Inception (rich violet). Liquid Metal in Surge (silver) and Cream Pigment in Bedaub (mint). You can buy the colors individually (not sure about the Liquid Metal), but it works out a good choice to have them all in one palette. This was £34.00.

For those afraid of color, I do not recommend this palette. This is deifnately one for the person who loves to be fun with their makeup and loves bright colors. I actually have Bedaub as a product individually. I don't like using it as an eyeshadow base as it does tend to crease. It can be used as a good lip color, if you like unusual colors. Bedaub works really well as a color corrector if you have any redness.

I wore the two eyeshadows together - Hype and Inception. I wore Inception as an all over eyeshadow and then put Hype in the inner corner. Both had plenty of pigment and had a nice workable texture. I've tried Liquid Metals before and cannot wear them as eye colors. They can be used as an eyeshadow, but I find not only do they crease, they irritate my eyelids. Something, whatever is in them has always seemed to make my eyelids go red and super puffy. I avoid using these on the eyelids and instead use them to line my bottom lash line, especially in the inner corner. This gives my eyes a really nice silvery pop. Liquid Metal doesn't seem to irritate my eyes there. I think Illamasqua have now discontinued the Liquid Metals as you can't buy them on their website anymore. They only seem to now sell the palette of them which has 4 colors in it.

I really like this palette as the color choice is fab. The eyeshadows stayed on my eyes without fading or creasing. It's a shame Illamasqua have now discontinued this palette as it was a great one to have.

Illamasqua Vendetta Lipstick

I always like unusual colored lipsticks and when I saw that there was a blue one coming out for Illamasqua's new summer collection, I was excited to try it out. It's called Vendetta and is described as a rich cobalt blue with a satin finish.

This lipstick has a really nice smooth texture that glides on to the lips. It has loads of pigment in it and doesn't take long to get intense color on the lips. It has a nice moisturizing feel to it which is great as my lips are dry. It does stay on for ages, although it does need a bit of reapplying later on in the day. I didn't have to reapply much as most of it was still on. I loved the color too as it was very bright and unusual.
