I'm really loving the movie Trolls. I saw it in the cinema and now have the movie on Blu Ray. I also remember Trolls back in the 90's as a kid. I would always have them on top of my pencils. Last year MAC brought out a Trolls makeup collection which I ended up buying a lot of.
I was in Primark the other day and noticed they had a selection of Trolls beauty products. There were quite a few items to choose from - lip gloss, colored hairspray, brushes and more. I grabbed a few items as they looked fab. I got blue hairspray, an eyeshadow palette and some makeup brushes.
Brushes
There were three different brushes on offer - foundation, powder and a double ended eyeshadow brush. All of them have white handles with a holographic Troll on them. The hairs on the eyeshadow and foundation brushes seem more synthetic. I'm not sure if the hairs on the powder one are real or not. Either way when I was cleaning all three of them none of the hairs came off which was a good thing.
They are not professional quality brushes, but they are really not that bad to use. The powder brush seems to be more angled and I like using it to apply highlighters. With the double ended brush, the eyebrow end works really well to apply color to your brows. The other side works a lot better as a concealer brush rather than for eyeshadow. The foundation brush I have only used to apply concealer as it worked really well in smaller areas. I did try applying my foundation with it and didn't think it spread the color around my face that well, which is why I used it as a concealer brush.
Eyeshadow Palette
The eyeshadow palette has 9 really colorful shades in it. While the packaging doesn't feel very well made, the design on the front looks awesome. It also comes with sponge applicators to apply the colors with. I never like using these and instead used my eyeshadow brushes.
While the colors may look nice in the palette, they really weren't that great. Pigment was quite poor and blending was very difficult as getting the colors to show up wasn't easy. I also found the texture to be quite dry and powdery.
As I had my NARS eyeshadow base on, the colors stayed on all day and didn't crease. This was about the only good thing about this palette.
I haven't tried the hairspray yet, but I'm really interested to see how it looks on my hair. The Trolls range is quite fun and while it isn't the best quality, I really enjoyed trying out the products.

A Primark PS Love Review
A while ago I tried some products from Primark's PS Love range of makeup. The majority of items from the range aren't that great, and I think the PS Pro range which Primark also do is even worse. There were a small number of items which I did like and I decided to get a few more items to try.
PS Love Super Matte Liquid Lipstick
Liquid lipsticks are all the rage right now and from the PS Love collection are the Super Matte Liquid Lipsticks. They come in more nude and neutral shades with very Kardashian sounding names like Kim. I got two of them in Kim and Kendall. The packaging isn't the best and feels quite cheap, although it does come with a very good doe foot applicator allowing the color to be applied easily. The pigment of these ones really isn't that bad and they do build up nicely. The downside to them is they are very drying. And when I say very, I mean very. I know mattes can be drying anyway, but these ones seem to be to an extreme. They were so dry they felt uncomfortable to wear and I ended up taking them off after 10 minutes.
PS Love Matte Long Last Lipstick and Bon Bon Lipliner
From these lipsticks there were two colors I really liked the look of - Tickle (pale pink) and Raspberry Parfait (bright pink). These are supposed to matte and long lasting. They were definately matte and can be a bit drying, so use a lip balm before applying. The pigment in them is alright and even though they are matte they don't feel dry to apply. They are no way near as drying as the Super Matte Liquid Lipsticks. I can wear these all day without them feeling uncomfortable, the liquid lipsticks I had to take them off. These ones aren't really that long lasting either as throughout the day the color did start to come off. The colors I do like, and even though these aren't the best mattes I have tried, they definately aren't the worst either. Would I buy more colors from the range, maybe, but it wouldn't be my first choice of lipstick. For £1.50 they aren't bad.
The lip liners are one of the better items from the PS Love range. They come in a wide range of colors and they seem to match the lipsticks too. I got one in Bon Bon which is a bright pink color. It had a nice texture and felt nice on the lips too. The pigment was quite good and seemed to last on the lips a lot longer than the lipsticks did.
PS Love Get Lippy Metallic Collection Liquid Lipstick And Liner
Lip kits are very popular at the moment with loads of people wanting a Kylie Jenner Lip Kit. Makeup Revolution have now brought out their version of the lip kit and it now seems Primark have too in their PS Love collection. There were a few colors to choose from and I really liked the look of the metallic one. It's a sort of copper gold color and comes with a matching lip liner. In this lip kit, the liner is complete rubbish, there isn't that much pigment in it and it took ages to line my lips trying to get the color to show. The lipstick on the other hand is much better, it builds up nicely and gives your lips a fab gold color. One coat is a bit sheer, but with two or three the color looks nice and strong.
Once on it didn't have a sticky feel to it either and stayed on for a while. It did need reapplying later on in the day. The packaging isn't the best, although it does come with a nice doe foot applicator to get the color on easily.
Insta Girl Liquid Lipstick And Lip Liner
When it comes to liquid lipsticks from the Primark makeup range I think that the Insta Girl Liquid Lipsticks are one of the better items. Still not the best, but not that bad for the price and the colors look amazing, plus they come with matching lip liners. The color I got was a beige sort of brown and looks great on. The packaging looks fab and comes with a doe foot applicator allowing you to apply the color easily.
These lipsticks have a satin finish compared to a matte one. They do feel a bit on the tacky side after applying them, although they weren't too sticky like lipgloss. You could definately notice it when putting your lips together but it wasn't uncomfortable. They did need reapplying later on in the day and they weren't drying on the lips either.
I also bought two brushes too, I'm not going to review them in this post as I want to do a separate post on brushes.
The PS Love range isn't the best, although there are a few good items that I liked using. Have you tried anything from the PS Love range.

Primark PS Love Makeup Review
Recently I reviewed Primark's PS Pro range of makeup and didn't think a lot of it. Most of the items are complete rubbish and are not premium quality as Primark like to claim. They are certainly not professional standard either. If you ask me Primark ought to be sued for wrongful advertising. Primark also have another range of makeup called PS Love which has been out for some time. I decided to try some products from that range to see what they were like. I got quite a few items as they were very reasonable price wise.
The PS Love range has a far bigger selection of products compared to the PS Pro range and features nail polishes, eyeshadows, lipsticks and more. So here is what I bought.
PS Love Matte Long Last Lipstick £1.50 and Lipstick £0.80
Both lipsticks were very disappointing. The colors looked great on. That is when they stayed on, which they didn't. They didn't last very long at all and needed constant reapplying. The darker lipstick is supposed to be long lasting. Matte is is, long lasting it isn't. This has to be the worst lipstick I have ever tried, even from a budget brand. The other lipstick was slightly better, not by much though. I also wasn't fussed on the scent they had to them either.
PS Love Insta Girl Intense Liquid Lipstick And Lip Liner
This is basically a liquid lipstick. These lipsticks are very popular at the moment and it seems Primark are trying them too. I love grey lips so I was really excited when I saw this one, plus it has a matching liner which is a bonus. It comes in really nice packaging too with a very good applicator. The pigment builds up nicely but unfortunately it did have this sticky feel to it which I didn't like, plus it did start to come off later too. The liner on the other hand was much better and managed to stay on my lips all day, it had a nice texture to it too which meant no need to push down to get the color to show up.
PS Love Kohl Eyeliner Pencils £1.00 each
These were very hit and miss, depending on the color. Out of the two the brown was definately the best color, the pigment was alright. It wasn't on the same level as Urban Decay but for £1 it really wasn't that bad. I've had worse more expensive drugstore liners. There was no need to press down as the color came out alright, although it did need building up. I did find I had to smudge the color out otherwise it would have started to move later on in the day. The blue eyeliner wasn't that great as the pigment wasn't very good. This one started to fade a lot when I smudged the color. The brown I liked, the blue not so much.
PS Love Eyeshadow Crayon £1.00
This is one of those eyeshadow crayons and actually swatches better than does on the eyes. I thought the pigment wasn't that great when applying it to my eyes and it just ended up looking dull. I also had to press down a bit to get the color to show, which was very uncomfortable. I wore my NARS eyeshadow base underneath this to prevent creasing. It started to crease and faded later on in the day too. If I didn't put the primer on first it definately would have creased more. Not a great product.
PS Precious Metals Collection Complete Face Palette £6.00
For £6.00 this is not a bad palette. It's one of those multi use ones that allows you to create a full look with eye, face and lip colors. The pigments are not high end, but for the price are really not that bad. I would say this palette is more on the lines of MUA and Makeup Revolution. The eyeshadows blend nicely and don't have too dry a texture. The gold did have a bit of fallout and did feel a bit on the powdery side. The highlighter gave a good coverage too, although I didn't bother with the bronzer color as I don't like a shimmery contour. The lip colors look nice in the palette, although they did feel a bit dry when I swatched them so I didn't bother with them.
PS Precious Metals Collection Lip Crayon £2.00
I'm a big fan of lip crayons, especially if the color looks really metallic like this one. The pigment is good, although I wouldn't say it was the best lip crayon I have tried. It didn't feel dry either which was a bonus. It may have looked great on, but unfortunately it wasn't very long lasting. Although it did last a lot longer than the PS Love lipsticks I tried.
PS Love Lip Liner Pencil £1.00
Now these ones I do like. For £1 they are really not that bad and do manage to stay in place for most of the day. I used these with some of the Primark colors and found that the liner managed to stay on whilst the lipstick didn't as the majority of Primark lipsticks aren't that great. I really like how the colors match the lipsticks too. The pigment wasn't too bad and I didn't have to tug or press down either. I did think that these lip liners were far superior to the PS Pro Liquid Lip Liner.
PS Love Velvet Matte Lipstick Crayon £2.00
For the price, these ones weren't too bad. The pigment is alright, it wasn't the best and I did find they did need building up, especially if like me you like strong color on your lips. They can feel a bit on the dry side, so if you have dry lips be sure to put some lip balm on before. I did like the design of them too and they did need reapplying later on in the day. They weren't the best lip crayon I have tried and they weren't the worst either.
PS Love Complete Crayon Lip And Cheek £2.00
This is one of those multi use products that you can put on your cheeks and lips. I didn't really think much of this one as it was very sheer. I needed to build the color up a lot to get a full look on my cheeks. It was very sheer on the lips too, although it didn't feel dry which was a good thing. It didn't stay on my lips for very long at all and came off very easily.
I also bought a blusher stick which was ok and also a nail polish corrector pen. I haven't tried the pen yet, but I am wondering what it will be like. I really don't think the PS Love range is anything to write home about, although I do think some of the products are better than the PS Pro range which is Primark's so called premium beauty range.
