Makeup Revolution Dark Reign Palette

The Dark Reign Eyeshadow Palette is a limited edition eyeshadow palette that Makeup Revolution have brought out for Halloween. It features 8 matte and 8 shimmery shades in colors that really stand out from browns to purples. The matte shades are identical to the shimmers, the only difference being the finish on the colors.

After using both the mattes and the shimmers, I definitely think that the shimmers are better. The mattes were a bit on the dry side. As for pigment, I did think both matte and shimmer could have had some more pigment in them as I had to build the colors up to get them intense.

While the pigment wasn't the strongest, I did find that once on, the colors stayed on without creasing.

For someone like me who loves colors that stand out, this palette was great. If you are more of a natural person you won't like this palette at all.

I Heart Makeup Peach And Glow

I Heart Makeup seem to be bringing out a lot of chocolate bar themed products. They recently released two new eyeshadow palettes and a recent addition to their chocolate bar face palettes is the Peach And Glow palette. It comes as a peach colored mini chocolate bar and looks good enough to eat.

The palette comes with a highlighter and a separate blush, both in peach toned shades.

Both highlight and blush shades come with a good amount of pigment, plus they blend well. The blush looks more like an ombre blush and works really well when a brush is swirled around in the color to create a unique shade. Or the colors can be worn separately too. I liked to apply the blusher first and then apply the highlighter separately to give my face an awesome looking glow.

For £6.00 this palette really isn't that bad and both blusher and highlighter stayed on all day without any need for reapplying. This one is available at Superdrug and online at TAM Beauty.

Too Faced Peach Kiss Lipstick

This month I went to America and did a bit of shopping when I was there. I'm a big fan of Sephora and I noticed that on the Too Faced counter they had the Peaches And Cream collection which features products such as lipsticks, face powders and eyeshadow. You can't get this collection in the UK so I decided to get one of the lipsticks. The color I got is called After School Special, which is a light purple color.

Too Faced add the most amazing scent to their products and as you can guess by the name, it smells like peach. The pigment is insane and I only had to give my lips one coat of this to get intense color. I could almost taste the peach as I was putting this on my lips and the creamy texture meant it applied like a dream.

I just love these lipsticks. A bonus is they need hardly any reapplying either. These are only available in America at the moment, so unless you are going over there you can buy online at Too Faced as they now ship to the UK.

Sephora Haul From Hollywood And Las Vegas

This month I went to America for two weeks. I travelled to LA, Las Vegas and Mexico. While I saw some amazing places while I was there, I also managed to do a bit of shopping too. For the makeup junkie like me, Sephora is definitely the place to go. I could spend hours browsing the different brands and you can find things that you can't back here in the UK. I got myself a few different items from Too Faced, Tarte and Anastasia Beverly Hills. So here is what I bought.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Moonchild Glow Kit

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick

Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Palette

Too Faced Peach Kiss Lipstick

Tarte Rainforest Of The Sea Lipstick

I also got gifts with purchase too as I had spent over a certain amount. I got a mini gift set from Tarte which had a blusher and lip paint in it. Plus a hairspray.

So this is what I bought. I've already started using some of them and are very happy with what I got.

Kat Von D Everlasting Glimmer Veil

I just love liquid lipsticks and when I hear that there is going to be a new one coming out I get really excited, especially if it is from a brand that I really like. The Everlasting Glimmer Veils from Kat Von D are a relatively new product from the brand. They are basically a glimmer liquid lipstick, available in a variety of different colors.

Everlasting Glimmer Veil is the ultimate liquid lipstick to fuel your glimmer obsession. This breakthrough formula combines the same long wear, weightless innovation behind Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, with a multidimensional liquid-crystal finish. The result is the world’s very first 24-hour glimmer lipstick.

Kat pushed the limits of performance to deliver 24-hour wear in a rich, glimmery-not-gritty formula that is so lightweight, it feels like nothing. Experience Gel Cushion Comfort—glimmer crystals that are coated in gel to ensure even application and effortless glide. This innovative liquid stain base is packed with iridescent micro-pearls and reflective mirror-crystals for 3 layers of mesmerizing dimension.

The color I got was called Televator which is this amazing purple color. The packaging comes with a doe foot applicator so you can put the color onto your lips nice and easy.

The texture feels really nice and creamy, while being insanely pigmented. One coat of this is enough to give fully intense color that looks amazing all day long. At first I thought these looked more like a gloss, but I was really glad I tried them as they are definitely a liquid lipstick.

The color didn't feel at all dry and had a nice lightweight feel. Words cannot describe how amazing the color looks on and photos definitely don't either. This is one of those products you have to see on yourself.

Barry M Meteor Storm Palette

Last month I saw that Barry M had released some awesome new eyeshadow palettes. I'm a big fan of palettes from any brand, so as soon as I had saw them on Barry M's Instagram page I got myself to my nearest Superdrug and had a look. One of the palettes I got was the Meteor Storm which features 8 colors in metallic and duochrome finishes. The packaging looks awesome too and has this outer space design on the front.

As far as palettes go, this one really isn't that bad, although the pigments could have been much stronger. Although for at the price of £9.99 you can't really complain. They blended nicely too and managed to stay on all day.

The last color on the right worked a lot better as a color dusted on top of others. As a color on it's own it wasn't really that strong and took a lot of work to build up.

If you love intense colors that stand out, this palette is definitely for you as you can create some amazing looks with it.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Glow

I'm loving Too Faced's Sweet Peach collection and I found the other day I had £40 of points on my Debenhams Beauty Club Card. I just love when I have enough points to get something nice and I decided to get the Sweet Peach Glow Palette from Too Faced.

It's basically a blusher, highlighter and bronzer in one palette. It is also scented of peach which is just amazing. The palette is really pigmented and I loved to use the blusher as a cheek color and then put the highlight color on my cheekbones. I didn't use the bronzer, but i'm sure it will be just as good as the blusher and highlighter.

The pigment is fantastic and blends nicely. I just loved how this gave my face a really nice glow. If you love Too Faced I recommend this palette as you will love it.

Makeup Revolution Ghost Lights Highlighter

It's now October and Makeup Revolution have released a range of Halloween products. I saw the range in Superdrug and got a few items, one of them being this awesome highlighter with a Halloween friendly name - Ghost Lights.

Apart from the amazing color (I will talk about that a bit later) it has this skull design in the actual product. I love how Makeup Revolution have made the product really spooky looking by designing it like that.

Now for the color. It's described as an iridescent pearlescent white highlighter with a pink shift when reflected against light. It may be a Halloween product but I see no reason why this can't be used any time of year. I love highlighters that have a good amount of pigment in them and this one is great. You don't have to use a lot of it either to get the color to show up.

I just love the glow this one gave my skin. If you love highlighters I do recommend this one.

Makeup Revolution Midnight Unicorn Palette

Last week I was in Superdrug and noticed that Makeup Revolution had a limited edition range of Halloween products out. Yes, it's October already and Halloween is not far away. I'm a big fan of eyeshadows and I saw that Makeup Revolution had some new ones out, one of them being called Midnight Unicorn.

The Midnight Unicorn palette features 16 shimmer eyeshadows in colors that really stand out. If you are more of a natural eyeshadow person this palette isn't for you. For people like me who love intense colors, this palette is right up your street.

If you love your color it can be hard to decide where to start when you have so many amazing ones in front of you. My favorite colors are pinks, purples and blues so I ended up creating different looks with those sorts of colors. There was a good amount of pigment in them apart from one of the purple shades which I thought didn't have much pigment at all. All of the other colors were fine and blended nicely too. Another great thing is they didn't crease either and stayed on all day.

Makeup Revolution Soph Eeyeshadow Palette

Makeup Revolution is a budget brand I really like and have very recently released a new eyeshadow palette. It's a collaboration between Sophie from SophDoesNails and Makeup Revolution. In the palette are 14 matte and 10 shimmers in a wide range of colors from natural to dramatic.

Most of the colors are guaranteed to give you a look that really stands out, although if you prefer something more natural you could create a look that you like too. As I love colors that are very intense. I was spoilt for choice with this palette. Although the matte shades were great I preferred the shimmers as I love a bit of sparkle. I did think the mattes were a bit on the dry side and did come out a bit powdery. The shimmers were much better and had a good amount of pigment in them and blended nicely. Although not pigmented on the same level as brands like Urban Decay, for £10.00 this is a rather good palette.
