Lush Ocean Salt

One of Lush's skincare products I keep going back to use is their Ocean Salt. It's basically a face and body scrub which contains actual sea salt. There is a bit of lime, avocado butter, coconut oil and seaweed absolute in their too. Available in regular, self preserving and alcohol free, along with a couple of different sized tubs - 120, 250 and 650g.

I just got the regular Ocean Salt, I'm not too fussed about having to get the alcohol free or self preserving. The regular one works just fine for me.

To use I get some water on my face and then just add a small amount of this and just work it into the skin. I found you don't have to use a lot as a small amount goes a really long way. This is lovely and scrubby and definitely one of my favorite exfoliators. The salt can be a bit rough on the skin, so no need to rub very hard as you could hurt your skin.

Once washed off, my face feels lovely and soft and super clean. It does have a salty taste to it too which can't really be avoided as you are bound to get some on your lips. I quite like the taste, although I don't go out of my way to deliberately lick it off.

The avocado butter, coconut oil and seaweed absolute are the ingredients in this one that leave that nice soft feeling to the skin. It is dry and this one does help it a lot. I wouldn't use this every day as my skin doesn't need exfoliating every day. Over exfoliation can cause break outs for me. I like to use this 1 -2 times a week, which is plenty.

  1. I've never tried this before - my skin has been horrible recently, so I may just give it a go, I love Lush products! :)

  3. I love Lush. I tried this year's ago. It's nice that they have different options as a lot of people find products with alcohol dries out their skin.

  5. This sounds amazing and I really could do with a bit of TLC. Thanks for mentioning the point about not using too much, I have sensitive skin so I would use a very small amount :)
