Lush Lipsticks

Last week I went to the Lush store on Oxford Street in London. As some of you may know, this store is huge and has many items exclusive to there. Some of the exclusives are makeup products. In all of their stores Lush do a small makeup range but it's not a lot and is nothing like the range they have in Oxford Street. In that store they do a full range of lipsticks, eyeshadows, brow products and blushers. The makeup also comes in proper packaging too and isn't just color in a bottle, which is what you can get in any Lush store.

I decided to try the lipstick and the solid lipstick. The lipstick is just lipstick in a regular tube while the solid one is more interesting.

Solid Lipstick
I'm going to start with this one as this is my favorite product out of the two. This is basically a block of lipstick. I've never seen lipstick done like this before, so it's quite interesting. It comes in three different varieties - Nude, Red and Pink. I got the pink as I love pinks for lips. It's a small block and has a flower pattern on it. At first I was like how on earth can this work as a lipstick, but then one of the sales people there gave me a demonstration on how to use it.

There are three different tones on this block and you can either wear them alone of mix to create your own colors. I liked the mix as you can create a really unique color. To use you get a lipstick brush and then apply to your lips. It's really easy. The pigment isn't too bad here and actually gives you plenty of color. It's not drying either, which is a bonus. Throughout the day I did need to touch the color up a bit, but not a lot.

The solid lipsticks can get really messy and they don't come with any container to keep them in. I recommend getting a Lush shampoo bar tin and keeping it nice in there.

Lipstick - Witty
This is just your regular lipstick in regular lipstick packaging. There were many different colors to choose from and the one I liked the most was Witty which is lilac color. On the lips it really builds up nicely to create color that stands out. The pigment is quite good too and I was able to get the amount of color I wanted easily. Lilac is a great color for the lips and stands out a lot. I've found that these Lush lipsticks aren't drying either which is a great thing. Throughout the day I did need to touch up the color a bit as some had started to fade.

I just love the Lush makeup range. It would be great if Lush made products like these available in all stores.

    1. If I hadn't of used a lip exfoliator and lip balm before I think these would have gotten a bit dry x
