MAC Viva Glam Rihanna 1 Lipstick

Last year MAC chose Rihanna to be the face of Viva Glam. I was a bit slow getting the Rihanna lipsticks and last week was able to buy the Viva Glam Rihanna 1 lipstick. Rihanna 2 was sold out. Rihanna 1 is a blue red lipstick with a frost finish. It comes in limited edition red packaging with Rihanna's signature stamped on the tube.






This is a really nice lipstick that has plenty of pigment in it. It has a frost finish, so has a bit of shimmer in it. The color built up nicely and in no time I was able to get full opaque color. I quite liked the frost effect too, most of my red lipsticks are either matte or cream, but don't actually have a shimmer in them. Although it wasn't a matte, it did have really good staying power and I didn't really have to reapply the color to my lips. Once it was on it stayed on.

    That's a bold colour, great for Winter especially. I always think it's good to have a lip liner in a red too especially as you get old to get a perfect line. Looks great on you.

    Looks good on you, I have a Mac for Rhianna lipstick, I'm guessing it must be 2 as mine is in gold packaging.

      This is where it gets confusing. Rihanna did a couple of collections for MAC separate to the Viva Glam Lipsticks. Each collection featured different packaging. Riri Hearts Fall had the pink packaging. Riri Hearts Summer had the regular MAC packaging and Riri Hearts Holiday featured white and pink gold packaging, so i'm guessing you have a lipstick from that one. The Viva Glam Rihanna 2 lipstick has the same packaging as this one. x
