The 12 Days Of Blogmas - Day 8 - Christmas Eve Makeup

As it's Christmas Eve, I decided to give myself a festive look using different makeup products. With so many different colors and products to choose from I decided to go for mainly golds, with a bit of purple too. This look was really easy to create and I'm going to show you what I used and how I created it.

Products I used

Face
Kat Von D Hydrating Primer Base
Dior Nude Foundation - 020
Kat Von D Lock It Concealer - L5
Illamasqua Concealer
MAC Blot Powder - Medium
MAC Blusher - Bad Girl Gone Good
MUA Shimmer Highlighter - Golden Scintillation
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

Eyes
NARS Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette (Talk Derby To Me)
NARS Eyeshadow - Etrusque
Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner
Urban Decay 24 7 Glide On Eye Pencil - Goldmine
Benefit Bad Gal Waterproof Eye Liner

Brows
Makeup Revolution Pomade - Blonde
Benefit High Brow
Illamasqua Concealer

Lips
MAC Lipstick - The Enemy Within

So here is how I created the look. I always do eyes first as you will definitely get drop down, especially when using darker colors. I really don't see the point in getting your foundation looking great when all you will have to do is wipe part of it off to clear up any eyeshadow. It's much easier to do the eyes first. Also be sure to invest in a good set of brushes, as your tools are very important too.

I get my brow brush and applied the Makeup Revolution Brow Pomade to the brows and drew the shape I wanted. I then just filled the color in the with the same product. Be sure to highlight the brow bone using the Benefit High Brow Crayon and draw around the brows using Illamasqua Concealer to define the brows even more.

It's really important to use a good eye primer and I like to use the Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base by NARS. This keeps your eyeshadow looking good all day and stops it creasing. I can put my eyeshadow on early in the morning and it will still be looking good late at night. It also makes colors stand out more. In the inner corners of my eyes I applied NARS Etrusque and blended it out. I then went in with the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, using the color Talk Derby To Me. I colored in the rest of the eye with this color and then blended it out. Using the Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner to create a sharp line on the eyelids. To get the look on my bottom lash line, I used the Urban Decay 24 7 Glide On Eye Pencil to create a gold look on the bottom, finishing off with my Benefit Bad Gal Eye Liner. Don't forget to smudge the liner too.

Now my eyes are done, I'm going to tell you how I did the rest of my face. I like to start with a base as this will make the makeup stay on longer. At the moment I am using the Kat Von D Hydrating Primer base which does a good job of keeping my makeup on all day. I also like to use a bit of concealer under the eyes as I do get dark circles. A liquid concealer such as the Kat Von D Lock It Concealer works really well. Once the under eye concealer was done I used Dior Nude Foundation all over my face to give it a nice glow and then finished with MAC Blot Powder. To complete the look I added a bit of blusher and also a gold highlighter to any areas I wanted to glow.

No Christmas look would be complete without a gold lipstick. I used MAC - The Enemy Within as it was a really awesome bright gold.

So there is my makeup look for Christmas Eve. It could be worn any time of year, but I think gold is a great color for the Holidays.

The 12 Days Of Blogmas - Day 7 - Pamper Time On Christmas Eve

It's now Christmas Eve. The shopping is done, the gifts are wrapped. Tomorrow is Christmas Day and it's now time for me to relax and chill.

I've decided to give myself a mini pamper, where I can lay back, chill and look after myself.

My skin is feeling a bit dry, so what better way to give it some self care than with at least 30 minutes with the Goddess Skin Clay Mask by Charlotte Tilbury. I got this one a while ago in John Lewis and it really is a fantastic mask. It leaves my skin feeling really nice and soft.

While I was letting the mask do it's job I ran myself a nice hot bath. It's cold outside and I always find in the Winter, a hot bath really warms me up.  I also happen to be a big fan of Lush's Bath Bombs. As it is Christmas Eve I got one of their Christmas themed bath bombs called Shoot For The Stars.

This one fizzed very fast and it made the water go all different shades of blue. All different blues appeared with different patterns in the water.  The stars also started to fizz away too and have this nice creamy feel to them, along with a very sweet scent. I'm not sure what they are made of but they seem to have a scrub in them too.

I just love a mini pamper night like this, especially on Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas.

The 12 Days Of Blogmas - Day 6 - Christmas Shopping At Too Faced London

Last week I was doing some shopping in London and went down Carnaby Street. The decorations are all up making it look super festive.

For the makeup addict there are plenty of brands having their own stores including MAC, Benefit and Urban Decay. It was only on Saturday did I discover, Too Faced now has a store.

OMG, I have died and gone to Heaven, was my reaction as I stepped inside. The store is bloody brilliant and has products you can't get anywhere else including the Chocolate Gold Palette and the Peaches And Cream collection, which is only available in America. They also had the Clover palette too, which you can only get online.

The store is really fun. Girls and guys who have taken their boyfriend shopping can even drop him off in the boyfriend park area.

There are some great gift ideas if you are still looking for a gift for someone this Christmas. I got myself the Chocolate Gold palette. Now, In Selfridges I bought the White Chocolate Bar as I didn't know this store existed until I was told about it at the Too Faced counter there. This store and Selfridges are the only places apart from online, where you can buy the White Chocolate Bar.

The store is amazing and I will be going back very soon to get some more goodies, and that last bit of Christmas shopping.

The 12 Days Of Blogmas - Day 4 - Kiehl's Christmas Blogger Event

Here is day 4 of The 12 Days Of Blogmas themed posts. I love going to blogger events, especially at Christmas time and the other night I went to an event at Kiehl's in St Davids Center, Cardiff.

Kiehl's is still a brand new to me as I haven't used many of their products. Events like this are a great way to try out the brand and learn all about it.

As it was Christmas themed, the dress code was Christmas jumpers. A good festive event also wouldn't be complete without music - the Mariah Carey Christmas album.

Candy Cane drinks were available which just tasted fantastic. Along with mince pies and cookies.

I even got the chance to decorate my own Christmas cookie. I have to admit I've never decorated Christmas cookies before.

If you are looking for a Christmas gift for someone, look no further as Kiehl's have plenty of gift ideas.

I really enjoyed the event and seeing everyone looking all festive in their Christmas jumpers. I also got a goodie bag with loads of samples for me to try out. Thanks Kiehl's and Merry Christmas.
