Bright Colors And Glow With Lush

I'm a big Lush fan and a while back I tried their Emotional Brilliance range of makeup. Lush sell some makeup in most of their stores, but did you know that they also have a full range of makeup in proper packaging too. The Emotional Brilliance range features products such as lipsticks, eyeshadow powders and blushers.

I've tried the lipsticks before and really liked them so I decided to get one in a different color along with eye powder. Last week I was in their Oxford Street store which is one of the few Lush stores that stock the full range of makeup.

I got a lipstick in Wonder (Dark Pink) along with Eye Powder in Carefree (Sky Blue).

Lipstick
Wonder is a dark pink lipstick that has a really nice amount of pigment in it. It comes in long packaging where you twist the color up. It's got a really nice creamy texture too and builds up nicely. It's not too drying on the lips either which is a bonus. The color does start to fade later on in the day and does need reapplying. I just love this color as it's really nice and colorful.

Eye Powder
This product is amazing and I just love the color choices that are available. Described as an eye powder it can actually be worn on the eyes but also on the face too. The eye powders come in two different versions - regular and earth. The Earth Eye Powders can actually be mixed with water to create a different color. The color I got is called Carefree and is a sky blue color. This one was from the regular powders and not the earth ones.

It comes in a small bottle with a good amount of product in it. You don't have to use a lot either, so a small amount will definitely go a long way. It is a loose powder and can get quite messy, so it is best to take care when taking the product out of the bottle.

I love highlighters and this one worked really well as one. I liked to put this on my cheekbones and other areas of my face that I wanted to glow. It did a really good job of giving my skin a sort of blue toned highlight. I didn't have to use a lot to get the color to show up either.

The other way I used this was to use it as an eyeshadow. It builds up nicely to the eyes, although you may want to apply your eyeshadow before foundation as you will get a lot of drop down with this product. It is a loose powder after all. I also put this color on top of an eyeshadow I was wearing to slightly change the color of it. It did a good job of staying on too and didn't crease of fade. Wearing an eye primer is a must.

The Lush range of makeup is great and there are colors for everyone. I definitely recommend trying the colors out. Not all stores carry the full range of makeup. The Oxford Street store and the new one that opened in Cardiff definitely do.

  29. I never think to go to lush for make up. I did have one of their lip stains once and whilst the colour was good it did what it said in the tin. I actually managed to stain some of my clothes :(
