Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

Makeup setting sprays are quite popular at the moment. Quite a few different brands have brought them out. The most famous of the sprays has to be from Urban Decay. Until recently I had been really skeptical of these. The idea of them is you spray them after you put your makeup on and it's supposed to make your makeup stay on all day. I had always seen these products as being really unnecessary. I used to think that using a good primer and powder would make your makeup last. I also really didn't like the idea of having to spray something on your face after putting your makeup on. This spray comes in three different versions - All Nighter, Chill (hydrating) and De Slick (oil control). I got this for £21.00 in John Lewis.

A while ago, I was given a sample size of Urban Decay's All Nighter Setting Spray. I thought I may as well use it to try it out. After giving this product a chance I really are amazed at what it can do. To use it you hold it a bit away from your face and spray a couple of times. I always thought this product would stay wet for ages after spraying it. It's quite the opposite, it dries really fast and in no time you don't even know it's on. I put my makeup on at 11am and by the late evening my makeup was still on and I hadnt even gone really shiny. Just a small amount of shine was on my face, it was so small it wasn't even that noticeable. A lot of shine usually happens throughout the day, meaning I have to keep re powdering. Re powdering is now a thing of the past for me after using this on my face.

Some people use hairspray to set their makeup. I would never recommend anyone use hairspray on their face. Not only is the scent very strong and quite overpowering. It's not great to breathe it in either and it makes your face feel awful. My face felt really nice and smooth after I put this on and you couldn't even feel it on you.

I go to the gym to and can never wear my makeup there. I wore my makeup to the gym the other day and sprayed this on my face. Even after doing a good hours workout, my makeup was still on my face and hadn't even budged. I'm really glad I tried this product as what I thought about it before has completely gone.

  2. I've been looking for a setting spray for a while - I think it's time to stop spraying my face with hairspray before a night out! It can't be good for my poor skin!

  3. I've been skeptical of the setting sprays & their promises but this sounds fantastic! I think you testing it out at the gym is a great way to see if something actually lived up to expectation. I think I'll be looking out for this next time I'm out shopping.
