Smashbox and Bumble And Bumble Blogger Event Cardiff

I was invited to the Smashbox and Bumble And Bumble blogger event in Cardiff on Saturday. The event was held in Boots Cardiff, on the Bumble And Bumble and Smashbox counters. I met up with other bloggers before the event and we all went there together. When we got to the event we were greeted by the lovely staff at both brands along with a big Smashbox box with product samples in. The event was divided into two sections - a demo by Bumble And Bumble and then a makeup demo by Smashbox.

We were shown hair products by Bumble And Bumble. The stylists on the counter did the demo on a model and showed us some blow dry styling products. These come in three different versions for different types of hair. Straight Blow Dry, Repair Blow Dry and All Style Blow Dry. We were then showed other products such as the Thickening Hairspray. All of us bloggers were able to try the products on the back of our hands as the products went around for all of us to try.

When the model had finished having her hair done she moved over to Smashbox to have her makeup done. To start we were told all about Smashbox and how the brand started. We were shown a look that could be created with all Smashbox products, especially their new Double Exposure eyeshadow palette. This is a new palette with a range of different colors in it, from natural to dramatic. They can also be worn wet or dry.

The other new product we were shown was the Primer Water. This is a mist like product that can be worn as a primer. It looks great for giving the skin hydration. Along with the new Primer Water, we were all told about Smashbox's range of primers and which ones work best for different skin types.

I really liked the look that was created on the model. We were also given tips on makeup application such as eyeliner.

After the event we were given plenty of time to browse both counters and get any products we wanted. In our box we were given an empty sample pot. We were able to get color matched for foundation and then take a sample home of that color. I went for the Liquid Halo foundation. We were also given a goody bag from Bumble And Bumble/Ojon with some samples. Ojon is Bumble And Bumble's sister company and has products for damaged hair.

I really enjoyed the event, especially learning about all of the products. Thanks Smashbox and Bumble And Bumble.

    1. Me too. I don't have many of them compared to other brands. I have a blusher, primer and I bought at the event an under eye primer x

    1. They're also good for makeup artists like me who work on a lot of photoshoots. Many of the foundations and primers are SPF free so no flashback x
