MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer

Liquid lipsticks are all the rage right now and I decided to try out MUA's Velvet Lip Lacquers. These are MUA's version of a liquid lipstick and are from their Luxe range of products. The Luxe range is supposed to be more better quality than regular MUA and features better packaging.

 The three colors I went for were called Iced (pale blue), Splash (dark blue) and Potent (black). These were £3.00 each at Superdrug. The packaging does feel very nice and doesn't feel like a £3.00 product but more like an expensive product. The lip lacquer also comes with one of those doe foot applicators which allow for easy application.


Each color had a good amount of pigment in them. Although to get full color on the lips two to three coats were what was needed. They glide on nicely too and don't go on at all patchy. Drying time was under a minute and once the color was dry, it gave a nice matte finish to the lips.

 They did stay on for quite a long time, although to the end of the day they did start to fade a bit, but not by much that it needed reapplying. The only downside to these ones is they can feel a bit drying, so make sure you moisturize your lips before putting them on.

    liquid lipsticks usually scare me cause of my dry lips. i admire you for rocking unusual colours so naturally!

    These really suit you - but I'm not convinced they'd look good on me - you need that something special to carry these off. All 3 look great on you- and you are rocking that eye make-up too!
