Dior Blogger Event Cardiff

Last week I went to my second Dior bloggers event in Debenhams, Cardiff. I went to the last event by Dior back last year for the Christmas collection. I was really looking forward to this one as it was about the new Spring collection and the new Dior Forever foundation.

Blogger events are a great way to meet other bloggers and I did manage to have a chat with a few before the event started. Ant hosted this event and did a fantastic job. He's very talented and an all around fab person.

We were offered a glass of champagne and for those who preferred not to drink, water. What I love about these events at Dior is this really amazing wristband that we got given. We all had got one at the last event too.

The event was mainly about the new Forever foundation and Ant showed us how to create a look with it on the model. I was really liking the look of the foundation as it gave a really radiant glow. Forever has been around for some time but has been recently relaunched with a new formula. I've tried Dior's foundations before, Nude and Star. Both are fab foundations so I was really looking forward to trying this new one. It also contains SPF 35 and has no flashback at all. I was really surprised to hear that as SPF has got a bad reputation for creating flashbacks in photos. 35 and no flashback, thats amazing.

Forever also allows for 16 hour wear and gives a luminous matte finish. I have heard it is skin perfecting too, a bonus. What I like about Dior's foundations is that they come in a good range of shades, including very pale (great for me). A lot of brands don't do foundations pale enough, meaning I end up looking orange. Dior have also got a really interesting way of color matching. They have this gadget that looks like a phone, put it against your skin and it tells you what color you need. I think that is really amazing and definately a different way of color matching.

To finish the look off, Ant showed us the new Spring collection called Glowing Gardens. It's a decent sized collection and has products in colors perfect for Spring. I like how flowers are stamped into some of the actual products, they look very Spring like. I did want to get one of the highlighters but was told they had sold out super quick.

At the end of the event we were all given a goody box with some great samples in there. I also got color matched myself and took the Forever foundation with me along with lipstick in Vogue. If you bought the Forever foundation at the event you got a gift with purchase which was this awesome pink Dior makeup bag.

I really enjoyed the event and had a great time. Dior always do fantastic events. Thanks Ant.
