Urban Decay Vice Ltd Reloaded Palette

I'm a big fan of Urban Decay, especially their eyeshadow palettes. Every year around November they release a Vice Eyeshadow Palette. So far Vice is on it's 4th year and to make it even better the brand has been known to release some extra Vice palettes too. A while ago they released a limited edition one with bright yellow green packaging. It was very hard to find and people are selling it on E Bay for around £80.00!!

Earlier this year Urban Decay released a Vice Ltd Reloaded Palette. Originally this was only released in America, although it is now available in the UK too. I got this palette when I was in New York last month. This was $56.00 in Macy's.

Like all other Urban Decay palettes this one comes with a really nice double ended brush. I really like how Urban Decay give a proper brush with their palettes. Most brands just give you those sponge tipped applicators. The brush with this one is really good quality and allows you to apply and blend the colors really well.

There are 20 colors in this palette, in a mix of matte and shimmer. If you love color, you will love this palette as there are loads of different color combos to be created.

All colors have an amazing amount of pigment in them and blend easily. The texture is nice and smooth and you don't need to use a lot to get the color to show up. Once they are on they don't crease or fade and stay on all day.

My favorite colors in this palette are UV 9, Goldmine and Asphyxia.

Asphyxia, Freakshow

Acid Rain, Mildew, Misdemeanor

MAC Trolls Beauty Powder - Play It Proper

I'm totally in love with the MAC Trolls collection. I have all of the Trolls lipsticks and one product from the collection I really liked was the Beauty Powder. It's called Play It Proper and is a pastel pink with sparkle.

As the collection is limited edition, so is the packaging. It comes in a really nice pink compact with Trolls printed on the outside. A Troll is also stamped into the actual powder too and it doesn't disappear either as you use the product.

At first this looks like a blusher but it doesn't have the pigment in it to be a blusher. I have tried some beauty powders from MAC before that can be used as blushers, but this one isn't one of them. It's more of a highlighter, great for strobing.

The best way to use this is to get your brush, you can actually go mad with your brush as you can never use too much of this product. Once you dust it all over your face you get this really nice pink glow.

Once on, it doesn't fade or need reapplying later on in the day. There is another one of these in the Troll collection which is more of a gold highlighter. This was £24.00 at MAC.

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick - Poe

I've never tried Kat Von D makeup before, which is probably because over here in the UK it isn't a brand that is easy to find. When I was in New York last month I decided to try a lipstick from the brand. For the person who loves colors that stand out, there were plenty of colors for me to choose from.

Kat Von D's Studded Kiss lipsticks come in all different colors with a variety of finishes. The one I liked the most was Poe, which is a shimmery navy. This was $21 in Sephora.

This is an absolutely amazing color and perfect for people who like something not ordinary. The pigment is insane and you don't need to apply much to get the color to show up. You can definitely get away with one coat of this to the lips. It's got a nice creamy feel to it too and glides on the lips easily.

Once on it stays on pretty much all day and doesn't really need reapplying either.

I matched this lipstick with blue eyeshadow to create one unique look. This is definitely one for those not afraid of color.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit

Strobing is all the rage at the moment and who doesn't love glowing skin. When I was in New York I got a few products from Anastasia Beverly Hills, one of these being the Glow Kit. This is basically a highlighter palette and is available in two different shades.

I got the lightest one out of the two. In each palette are four different powder shades allowing you to give your face a nice glow.

I got this for $40.00 in Macy's.

In this palette there are 4 colors to choose from, each giving a different glow to the face. Sunburst, Golden Bronze, Bubbly and Dipped In Gold.

The great thing about this palette is the colors are refillable. It is really easy to remove them and as soon as you finish one color you can just refill it without having to go and buy another palette.

Each color is very pigmented and has a nice soft texture to it. You don't have to use a lot to get the color to show and once on it gives you a nice glow all day. Out of all the colors my favorite highlighter had to be Sunburst.

MAC Trolls Lipsticks

So this month, MAC have released a limited edition collection themed on Trolls. This is for the movie of the same name that is coming out in the cinema. I think the whole idea of MAC doing a makeup collection themed on Trolls is pretty cool.

I remember Trolls back in the 90s. They would be these funny looking things with bright crazy hair that would just stand up. You could stick them on the end of pencils too.

So in this collection are 4 lipsticks. I went and bought the lot as the colors looked right up my street. Another great thing about this collection is it comes in limited edition packaging. I do like it when MAC do a collection with different packaging. With the lipsticks, the packaging is a bright orange with Trolls on the front.

So the lipsticks in this collection are - Can't Be Tamed (Sheer Lime Yellow, Frost), Sushi Kiss (Midtone Coral Creme, Satin), Dance Off Pants Off (Hot Pink, Frost) and Midnight Troll (Rich Blue, Matte). These were £17.00 each at MAC.

Sushi Kiss, Midnight Troll, Dance Off Pants Off, Can't Be Tamed

These lipsticks are not for those afraid of color. I love a bright lipstick so these are perfect for me. The only color that didn't seem to do very well out of them all was Can't Be Tamed. I know it's meant to be a sheer color, but it just came out too sheer and ended up looking patchy. All of the other colors were definitely better and had much better pigment in them.

Even though Midnight Troll was a matte, it didn't have that dry feel to it that some mattes can have and stayed on all day without having to reapply. The pigments in Dance Off Pants Off, Sushi Kiss and Midnight Troll were fab and had a nice texture to them.

Out of them all, my favorites were Midnight Troll and Dance Off Pants Off.

MAC Lipsticks - Dreampot and Dew

So last month when I was shopping in New York I had a look in one of the MAC stores. What really caught my eye were these unusual colored lipsticks. I love crazy colors for lips and these ones looked right up my street. They had all sorts of weird and wonderful colors from blue to green. I decided to get two colors - Dreampot and Dew.

These colors are from a new collection called Bangin Brilliant which offers a kaleidoscope of new lipstick shades. They are apparently permanent too, so no annoying limited editions. At the moment these are only available in America, although I have been told they will be coming over to the UK eventually.

Dreampot is a light candy blue with a matte finish. While Dew is creamy purple blue with a satin finish. Both were $17.00 each.

Dew

Both colors look awesome on. I just love these shades of lipstick. Definitely not ones for those afraid of color. These shades are extremely fun and have a lot of pigment in them. Even though Dreampot is a matte it doesn't feel drying on the lips and stays on all day without having to reapply.

Dew has a satin finish to it and is quite long lasting, although not as long lasting as Dreampot. Later on in the day I did have to reapply a bit of it.

Out of the two I don't have a favorite as they both look amazing.

Too Faced Melted Matte Lipstick - It's Happening

I really like Too Faced products, but here in the UK we are slow to get all of the new products as they all seem to be in America. It takes about a year for them to finally appear over here. When I was in New York last month I went to Sephora and decided to get one of Too Faced's Melted Matte Lipsticks. They come in a range of different colors. For people like me who love something dramatic, these colors are right up my street.

The color I got is called It's Happening and is a bright pink color. It comes in really nice packaging with one of those doe foot applicators that allow for easy application.

The pigment of this product is just insane. You only have to use the smallest amount and you get really intense color. You can definitely get away with one coat of this color. Once it dries it has a matte finish to it that lasts all day without the need to reapply. It may be a matte, but it doesn't feel at all dry on the lips either.

I just love this product from Too Faced. I wish I had gotten some other colors too as I am just in love with this one.

This was $21.00 at Sephora.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade - Taupe

Last year I tried Dipbrow Pomade by Anastasia Beverly Hills. It's basically a brow pomade that is probably one of the best ones on the market. I've tried cheaper versions of it and none of them compare to this one. Since then I've been wanting to try a lighter color as the one I had before was a very dark brown. The quality of this one was amazing and last month I went to New York and stopped in Sephora.

Sephora sell the full range of Anastasia Beverly Hills products and I decided to get another Dipbrow Pomade in Taupe, which is a nice light brown color. This was $18.00.

I recently tried a brow pomade in a similar color by NYX. I was told that it was apparently an exact dupe for this one, but after using it I found that the quality wasn't that great. This one might be more expensive, but it is a far superior product.

This one is so pigmented you don't have to use a lot to cover your brows and fill them in. It is so pigmented you only have to use the smallest amount as it really does go a long way.

When putting this on my brows it also glides nice and smoothly too and has this awesome creamy feel to it. Plus when it is on it doesn't budge or fade and stays on all day.

I really recommend Dipbrow Pomade, it comes in a range of different colors to suit all brow shades too.

Urban Decay Moondust Palette

Earlier this month I went to New York and did a lot of shopping. One store I went to was Sephora. For the makeup junkie like me, this store is heaven. I'm also a big fan of Urban Decay too and I saw a palette I haven't seen before called Moondust. When I bought it two weeks ago it was just available in America, although I have heard that it will be in the UK sometime this month. Either way I was really glad to have been able to buy it first. I got mine for $55.

It's basically an 8 color eyeshadow palette in all shimmery shades. They look almost glittery in the palette, but don't have the fall out that glitter does and have the texture and staying power of an eyeshadow. The palette is called Moondust, so it's no surprise that all the colors have space themed names like Galaxy and Lightyear.

Words cannot describe how amazing the colors are. They are insanely pigmented and can be worn in many different ways. I liked to blend them to create one unique look. As they are so pigmented you don't need to use a lot to get the color looking very intense. They might look like glitter but they have a nice soft, workable texture to them that glides on nicely.

Once on, they stay on all day and don't crease or fade. My favorite colors in this palette are Lightyear and Galaxy.
